As OP is new to America, I won’t cast judgment on him, but American men who put up with this common behavior are chumps, plain and simple, and the girls who do this are common prostitutes. The girls offered to pay, knowing 99/100 men won’t let them. I don’t blame them – a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do, but that type of behavior is what it is – women doing things with men they wouldnt otherwise do for money/goods/services. Thankfully, many women don’t partake in this behavior, but too many do, and they’re no more morally superior than call girls, camwhores and streetwalkers in my book. If you know you’re not going to see the guy again, either pay for your half or tell him “I’m not itnerested” and if he still wants to pay, let him, the chump.
